Another common reason Plan B doesn't get off the ground is when there are solutions instead of concerns on the table. Here's one last example:
Both father and daughter put their solutions on the table which isn't going to lead to anything but meeting in the middle in this case which neither party is likely to be happy with. For Plan B to be helpful here we need to know why his daughter wants to be out that late and why he wants her home earlier. Those are their concerns and understanding them may open the door to some other potential solutions. Otherwise, we have a classic power struggle on our hands - something we often refer to as "Dueling Solutions!"
