My Think:Kids
We are excited to announce the launch ofour new social networking community – My Think:Kids. Learning a new approach to helping challenging kids can be tough, lonely and isolating. Connecting with others to support and learn from each other is often the missing link. Anyone can read all kinds of conversations about important topics related to understanding and helping challenging kids. And after registering and logging in, you can join the conversations. So please join My Think:Kids. My Think:Kids has forums specifically designed for parents, clinicians, educators, and systems.
Parents: Want to find resources in your area? Looking to start or join a support group? Having a hard time getting started with Plan B? Post confidentially on My Think:Kids or search for users in your area with similar interests to connect with.
Clinicians: Want help with a challenging case? Thinking about how best to integrate our approach with other interventions Share experiences and insights with other clinicians.
Educators: Struggling to find the time to use Plan B? Thinking about how to transform school discipline in your building? Share your perspective and learn from the experiences of other educators.
Systems: Interested in researching your implementation process? Want to discuss issues related to communication, leadership, and buy-in? Log in join the discussions.
In addition, My Think:Kids has a specific forum dedicated to Project Oregon and many private forums for specific types of registered users. For example, clinicians and educators who have completed Tier 1 and Tier 2 training can connect with each other and continue their learning through peer supervision. Support group leaders across North American and members of specific support groups can also connect with and talk to each other in private forums. If you belong to one of these groups, please email us with your user name once you are registered so we can authorize you to join a private forum. We hope you’ll find My Think:Kids helpful.

Books
Below you will find a link to the book describing the approach we teach entitled: Treating Explosive Kids: The Collaborative Problem Solving Approach
By Ross W. Greene, Ph.D. and J. Stuart Ablon, Ph.D.
The first comprehensive presentation for clinicians of the groundbreaking approach, this book provides a detailed framework for effective, individualized intervention with highly oppositional children and their families. Many vivid examples and Q&A sections show how to identify the specific cognitive factors that contribute to explosive and noncompliant behavior, remediate these factors, and teach children and their adult caregivers how to solve problems collaboratively. The book also describes challenges that may arise in implementing the model and provides clear and practical solutions. Two special chapters focus on intervention in schools andin therapeutic/restrictive facilities. Click here if you want to buy Treating Explosive Kids at amazon.com.
